Duke’s lynda.com service soon to become LinkedIn Learning

On Thursday, August 22,  Duke University’s Office of Information Technology will be transitioning from LinkedIn’s popular learning site lynda.com to their new platform LinkedIn Learning.  Users should plan for the service to be unavailable on the day of the transition. After the upgrade, you will have the same access to your learning history, account information, and certifications.

Key LinkedIn Learning features include:

  • over 13,000 courses covering business, technology, and creative topics (including those tutorials that were already in the lynda.com library)
  • easy-to-use interface
  • a more personalized learning experience powered by the LinkedIn network
  • a new Q&A feature that fosters interactive peer-to-peer and learner-to-instructor learning across LinkedIn’s 590M+ professional community

A full overview of key differences is outlined here:  https://learning.linkedin.com/content/dam/me/learning/en-us/pdfs/LinkedIn-Learning-Key-Differences.pdf

See Duke KB article #KB0031723 for Frequently Asked Questions about the transition.  For additional information and an overview of the changes visit LinkedIn Learning: https://learning.linkedin.com/en-us/cx/upgrading-from-lynda-to-linkedin-learning.
