Signing certificates allow you to encrypt emails and digitally sign them. With certificates, the email recipient can have greater confidence that the email you sent has not been tampered with, and that the email originated from you, the expected sender, and not someone impersonating you, the sender.

Anyone interested can now request personal signing certificates for email. If you would like a signing certificate, send your request to the Service Desk by email at help@duke.edu.
