131139_wang-baoshengI am interested in understanding of the general importance of neutral and selective factors driving divergence and speciation in plant. During my PhD research I used genetic markers and coalescent simulations to identify hybrids and quantify the gene flow in pine species. I am currently involved in using next-generation sequencing data to revel ecology speciation in Boechera Stricta. My long-term goals focus on characterizing and quantifying the interplay between selection, hybridization and other evolutionary processes, and their genomic and adaptive consequences.
