Underwater Scene

The design and construction of this scene underwent several stages, each narrowing the work towards its finished product. Looking up from a sandy ocean floor, the perspective allows for the scale of the environment to be digested- from the towering kelp trees to the monolithic stone monuments that provide weight to the scene. The depth is further evoked by the dim lighting of the scene and the dim water caustics that decorate the stone and fish alike.
