About

SleepRight is a voluntary research study sponsored by the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

The purpose of this study is to further our understanding of how poor sleep quality and insomnia (trouble sleeping) contribute to elevated blood pressure and cardiovascular disease risk. All participants will receive the “gold standard” treatment for insomnia, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), which has been shown to improve sleep quality and promote consolidated sleep.

Participation in the study will include assessments of insomnia, sleep quality, blood pressure (BP), cardiovascular risk, and lab work before and after CBT-I.
