Zhinous joined the Sipkins lab in September 2020 and is affiliated with Molecular Cancer Biology Program (MCB). She graduated from University of Florida in 2015. Following graduation, she started working at LabCorp as a technologist working on identifying genetic disorders using SNP-Microarray technology. In 2017 she joined Dr. Bellamkonda’s lab at Duke in the department of Biomedical Engineering as a research associate where she helped with molecular techniques in the glioblastoma tumor monorail project. Her current project involves elucidating the role of E-selectin and SDF-1 proteins on breast cancer metastasis and proliferation in specific bone marrow niches.
