This summer we are very pleased to host two incredible undergraduate students in our lab: Valeria Santa-Melendez (University of Puerto Rico) and Julia Marshall (Duke).
Valeria come to us as part of the Duke Summer Research Opportunity Program (SROP) and Julia as part of the Biological Sciences Undergraduate Research Fellowship (B-SURF). Both programs are designed to offer opportunities for professional development and hands-on training in biological and biomedical research. We also want to congratulate the Dietrich lab for the paper we collaborated on the roles of phenazines on bacteria biofilms. The paper was featured in the Spotlight section and cover of the Journal of Bacteriology.
