The summer of 2012 has provided me with two unique work experiences. During my time off school I started work at the Office of the Public Advocate for New York. This internship provided a hands-on experience, and allowed me to feel the pulse of NY by reacting to how various policies affect the public. I played an integral part in the advocacy for those burdened by events, policies or actions. This experience helped me cultivate a understanding of the daily lives of New Yorkers and was coupled with my latter work as a research based recruiter. Working with experienced recruiters helped me see a new working class and provided me with more resources for universal, incremental understanding.
