Dan Costa – Graduate Student

Dan received his BS in Biology with a minor in chemistry from SUNY Potsdam. As an undergraduate he worked with Gordon Plague’s lab studying how IS elements mediate evolution. After graduation Dan joined Duke’s CMB graduate program and affiliated with Cell Biology. Starting off, Dan’s efforts in the lab resulted in a transcriptome of the actively invading anchor cell. He is now focused on understanding the role that ribosomal proteins play in regulating cell invasion. Outside of lab he enjoys swimming, water skiing and playing with his rabbits.
