Prevention & Education

A major component of sexual misconduct response is prevention. Education is the best tool we have toward reaching Duke’s common, shared goal of erasing sexual violence from our culture, society, and community.

We strive to create a campus-culture of shared community values that remains rooted in a commitment to ending sexual violence in all forms at Duke and beyond. The work is ongoing, and we need you – administrators, students, staff, parents, and faculty – to take part.

Within this section we’ve outlined a number of resources that focus on education and prevention. Ranging from a comprehensive, up-to-date list of in-person workshops and programming that take place on campus to outlining Duke’s evolving prevention plan. We hope this space will be an organized, transparent space for you to learn more about what Duke is doing to create lasting change.
