Hi! I’m Lauren Shin, and I’m a freshman in Trinity College interested in studying Psychology and Public Policy. I wanted to become a Help Desk Volunteer because I’m interested in learning more about the intersection between healthcare, advocacy, and policy. I’m excited for the chance to interact directly with patients from diverse backgrounds, listen to their experiences, and help connect them with resources that can make meaningful differences in their lives. I also want to support and be an active member of the Durham community! In my free time I enjoy baking, dancing, and playing instruments (piano, violin, guitar). In the future, I hope to be further involved in health policy initiatives and potentially attend medical school.
