Hi, I’m Aashni Shah, a freshman from Shreveport, Louisiana studying neuroscience. I joined Help Desk because I’ve seen how non-medical challenges – like access to food, transportation, and childcare- can deeply affect someone’s health. Volunteering in my community at home showed me how meaningful it can be to connect people with the resources they need, and I’m excited to continue that work in a healthcare setting. Outside of school, I like to play tennis, hang out with my friends, and go on long walks. In the future, I hope to become a physician who combines science and compassion.
