I am a freshman in the Trinity College of Arts and Sciences, and I am a prospective biology major with a certificate in health policy. I became passionate about addressing the social determinants of health while growing up in Baltimore, Maryland and observing massive health disparities firsthand. As a Help Desk volunteer, I hope to learn about social barriers to healthcare and how they can be effectively overcome. I am also excited about the chance to engage with the Durham community and gain new perspectives. Using these experiences as a foundation, I plan to pursue a career in medicine to explore the intersection between health policy and clinical care.
