LINDSEY NGUEGANG

Programming Chair, Biology (B.S.), Class of 2028

My name is Lindsey Coralie Nguegang, I use she/her pronouns, and I’m an intending Biology major, currently playing with the idea of minoring in Visual Arts and Health Policy. I wanted to join Help Desk Leadership because I genuinely believe in what Help Desk stands for and the mission it carries. Help Desk offers a unique opportunity to make an impact on patients’ lives through small, meaningful connections. It’s about helping people beyond the walls of the hospital and addressing the factors that affect their health in ways that often go unseen, all while building community and exposing others to the importance of social determinants of health. Forming direct, lasting relationships with patients is one of the most meaningful parts of this organization. As an aspiring physician, those experiences hold great value for me. Taking on a leadership role would allow me to contribute in new, meaningful ways and broaden my understanding of the barriers patients face in navigating care. It’s also a space to grow alongside a dedicated community of volunteers who care deeply about advocacy, empathy, and patient-centered support. I view leadership as an opportunity for fresh ideas, creative problem-solving, and meaningful collaboration. I’m excited about the possibility of helping Help Desk expand its impact, finding new ways to better support our volunteers, strengthen patient relationships, and extend compassionate care beyond the clinic setting.
