Duke University will host the fourth annual Southeastern Conference for Undergraduate Women in Mathematics. This conference is open to undergraduate women in all stages of their studies. Conference activities will begin on Saturday morning on the Duke University campus and conclude before lunch on Sunday.

The main goal of this conference is to increase interest in and awareness of both mathematical careers and graduate school opportunities in the mathematical sciences. This conference will provide an opportunity for like-minded undergraduate women to grow their peer network in the mathematical community and will connect participants with graduate students and faculty who can share their experiences working in mathematics. There will be opportunities to present original research or expository talks/posters and participants are encouraged to apply to give a short talk and/or present a poster by submitting an abstract through the registration form.

Registration is now open and will close October 25. There will be a non-refundable $10 registration fee for all undergraduate participants.

Thank you to our generous supporters:

This conference is funded by a Tensor Women in Mathematics Grant from the MAA with additional support from the Information Initiative at Duke (iiD) and Duke University’s Department of Mathematics.

United Guaranty and Duke University Stores have also donated supplies. Thank you.
