Blue Devils in Space: 2025 Duke Space Symposium

Group photo of the 2025 Duke Space Symposium organizing team.

How is our future in space being shaped by the legacy of our past and the challenges of our present?

On Thursday, April 24th and Friday, April 25th, the Rethinking Diplomacy Program’s Space Diplomacy Lab, Duke Center for Risk in Science & Society, Duke Bass Connections, Duke Students for the Exploration and Development of Space (SEDS), and Duke Cosmology hosted an interdisciplinary dialogue at the Sanford School of Public Policy about the future of settlement beyond Earth and the future of Space at Duke.

This event was the culmination of a Bass Connections Project on the future of space settlements co-organized by the Space Diplomacy Lab, the Duke Center on Risk, students and professors from Duke Law, the Duke Cosmology Group, and Duke Students for the Exploration and Development of Space (SEDS). A special thank you to the Duke Faculty Advancement Seed Grant Program and the Sanford School of Public Policy.
