Job Title: Postdoctoral Associate, Cardiology and Biochemistry
Job Description: A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Sudarshan Rajagopal in the Department of Medicine and Biochemistry at Duke University. We are seeking a motivated individual to investigate the G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) signaling as it relates to inflammation and cardiovascular disease and the mechanisms underlying the phenomenon of biased agonism, how GPCRs differentially couple to different cellular signaling pathways. Current lab projects include 1) Using biased agonist of chemokine receptors to modulate the inflammatory response and develop potential novel drugs; 2) Studying the role of arrestin-mediated signaling in angiogenesis; 3) Studying GPCR signaling in pulmonary arterial hypertension. The successful candidate will work in a collaborative environment with other scientists in the Departments of Biochemistry and Cardiology.
Requirements: PhD (or doctoral degree equivalent) in Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Pharmacology or similar fields . Candidates with strong interest or expertise in pharmacology (especially chemokine receptors and G protein-coupled receptors), cell signaling and immunology are encouraged to apply
How to Apply: To apply for the position, e-mail a single PDF file to Dr. Sudarshan Rajagopal (Sudarshan.Rajagopal@Duke.edu) with the following:
