As I sat down to write this post I realized I had absolutely no idea what I was going to write. So as any college student would do, I turned to Google. I didn’t expect typing “Ragtime Props” into the search engine would yield any mind blowing results but what I found turned out to be fascinating!
Did you know that the Model T from the original production of Ragtime sold for $12,000 back in 2002? It was specially made for the show, running on batteries instead of an engine and there were only two made. The original production cost for one was around $35,000!
Or how about this old fashioned video camera? The kind Tateh would use to make his moving pictures!
With all the hustle and bustle of putting together a show its understandable that sometimes props get forgotten, people overlook the minute details to try and get at the big picture. But I’m here to make sure the little things aren’t forgotten and hopefully I can do my part to make this show fantastic!
