Durham County–Durham Area Transit Authority (DATA)

DATA offers transportation throughout the city of Durham and surrounding areas. DATA offers discount fare to individuals with disabilities and is free of charge for individuals over the age of 65. DATA Access:
Data Access provides curb to curb transportation for individuals who are unable to use the fixed transportation schedule provided by DATA due to a disability. This service is available to community members after an application has been completed by the community member and their physician and this application is approved by an ADA specialist. DATA Access offers curb to curb transportation within the city of Durham and within three quarters of a mile from all DATA bus routes. Furthermore, Data Access offers rate reduction of fifty percent on their taxi service for community members who have qualified for DATA Access. Orange County–Orange Public Transportation

Orange Public Transportation offers a select number of public routes for all individuals living in rural Orange County. Orange Public Transportation also provides curb to curb transportation for elderly community members and community members with disabilities to go shopping, attend a local senior center or nutrition center, and attend medical appointments in Durham and Orange Counties. Chapel Hill Transit:
Chapel Hill Transit provides extensive public transportation around Chapel Hill and Carrboro for community members and visitors. The service is free of charge and runs Monday – Saturday. For additional resources visit: http://www.townofchapelhill.org/town-hall/departments-services/transit
Chapel Hill Transit – EZ Rider:
The EZ Rider offers curb to curb transportation for individuals who cannot access the fixed route systems due to a disability. The service provides rides to community members with disabilities within the coverage area of Chapel Hill and Carrboro. Locations may include work place, shopping centers, medical appointments, etc. Community members and their physicians must complete an application and qualify to receive this service. Wake County

Capital Area Transit:
Capital area transit (CAT) provides fixed routes around Raleigh, NC. A small charge is associated with most routes. More information is available at: http://www.raleighnc.gov/services/content/PWksTransit/Articles/CATBusRoutes.html
Accessible Raleigh Transportation (ART):
ART provides transportation for individuals with disabilities who cannot access the CAT bus system due to functional limitations. ART serves individuals within three quarters of a mile from a CAT bus stop. A two dollar fare is associated with each one way trip. An application process must be completed prior to receiving this service. Triangle Region

Triangle Transit Authority (TTA):
TTA provides transportation between the cities of Apex, Cary, Chapel Hill, Durham, Garner, Hillsborough, Knightdale, RDU International Airport, Raleigh, The Research Triangle Park, Wendell, Wake Forest and Zebulon. Fees are associated with these services, but discounts are offered to individuals with disabilities. Triangle Transit Authority: T-Linx
T-Linx is a paratransit service offered by Triangle Transit Authority to residents of Orange, Wake, and Durham Counties. T-Linx offers assessable transportation to individuals who are unable to use the fixed bus route system due to a disability or functional limitation. Rides must begin and end three quarters of a mile from a TTA bus route. To use this service, community members must submit an application and be approved. T-Links does provide services to community members who have approved applications for EZ-Rider, DATA Access, and ART.
