Michael Schmidt, PT, DPT, MHA is the director of ambulatory rehabilitation for the Duke University Health System and the director of residency and fellowship programming at Duke Health. He graduated from the Duke Doctor of Physical Therapy program in 2012 and completed the Duke Orthopaedic Residency and Manual Physical Therapy Fellowship program in 2013 and 2014 respectively. He also completed a Master’s Degree in healthcare administration at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2021. Michael is a Board-Certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist, a board-certified geriatric clinical specialist and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists. Michael is passionate about teaching/mentoring future leaders within the manual therapy fellowship programming. He is also a mentor of Duke’s Orthopaedic Physical Therapy Residency.
