Congratulations Sakib!
Undergrad extraordinaire, Sakib Hoque, graduated from Duke Biology with High Distinction on May 2. In addition, he was awarded the 2021 Excellence in Plant Science Prize, given each year by the plant science faculty to a graduating biology major who has demonstrated excellence in botanical research.
Sakib’s honors research thesis was entitled: A paleobiological review on fern-insect interactions: were ferns underutilized?
He plans to take a gap year after graduation and then go to medical school.
