The Communication Manager Track offers classes to help prepare communication specialists for roles managing communication programs, departments or institutes. It is open to any Duke employee with interest in learning how to manage the communication responsibilities for a program or unit like staff supervision, developing holistic communication plans, coordinating editorial content for multiple communication channels.
The current classes available for the Job Skills Track are:

Developing Communication & Marketing Plans | 1-3 p.m. | 3/13/20 3/27/20 |
Participants can expect to learn about the importance of communications planning, the essential components of an effective communication/marketing plan, and how to build a plan in support of their own projects or initiatives. Participants will work through examples and case studies, develop their own communication/marketing plan, and review and assess the plans of other participants. |
