Undergrad Students

Courtney Schatt

Undergraduates at the Duke Sanford School of Public Policy are required to complete an internship after they finish the core classes in the major. Internships give students an opportunity to demonstrate the skills and knowledge they have accumulated during their undergraduate education.

Students chose internships worldwide and in public, private and nonprofit sectors — from agencies in the nation’s capital or state governments to tech start-ups or consulting companies that deal with governmental regulation or policy.

Read all about their adventures as they prepare to move from the academic to the professional world.

The Policy Meets World blog is written by students at Duke University’s Sanford School of Public Policy or taking part in the Duke in DC program. Read their first-person stories about their internship experiences and aspirations.
