The NIH is considering a new policy that would limit the number of Research Project Grants (RPGs) a Principal Investigator (PI) can simultaneously serve on. The proposed grant caps are for 2, 3, or 4 simultaneous RPGs per PI.
The feedback requested will be on: advantages and disadvantages of the proposed policy, optimal cap implementation approach and potential unintended consequences.
