Partnering for Effective Research Collaborations (PERC) is a new initiative by Duke Research & Innovation focused on reducing barriers in community-engaged research. PERC aims to develop a community engaged resource toolkit to streamline processes and reduce administrative burdens by assisting investigators to navigate complex, yet crucial elements of community-engaged research.
This initiative provides new resources to investigators that want to get started or are already established in community-engaged research but need support on navigating common barriers. Some of the resources provided by PERC include but are not limited to, writing community-engage research proposals, handling transportation, reimbursement, and childcare, amongst others. Services will expand as PERC receives more feedback from investigators.
To contact PERC, report administrative barriers, or join their listserv for regular uptakes: fill out this intake form.
