Dear Faculty,
We are seeking faculty reviewers for the current cycle of the Department of Pediatrics K Club (for applicants submitting NIH K applications in October 2025). Faculty members of any level with experience securing NIH funding are welcome to sign up. Reviewers will receive relevant application drafts 1 week before the workshop and will be expected to review the drafts in advance and attend the workshop to participate in a critical discussion of the application.
We have the following workshops scheduled. If your schedule allows, please follow this link to sign up for one (or more), or email us at PediatricResearch@duke.edu letting us know which you would like to attend:
- Candidate Section Workshop: Sometime the week of June 23 – June 27, 2025 (Date and Time TBD, will be coordinated once reviewers sign up)
- Significance/Innovation Workshop: Sometime between July 21 – July 31, 2025 (Date and Time TBD, will be coordinated once reviewers sign up)
- Full Mock Review: Sometime between August 19 – August 29, 2025 (Date and Time TBD, will be coordinated once reviewers sign up)
The K-Club is open to early-career investigators in the department who have an interest in acquiring funding for research via NIH career development awards, and thrives on the support of faculty reviewers. The applicant participating this cycle is:
- Yike Jiang, MD, PHD, Fellow, Pediatric Rheumatology; K08: Autoantibody-mediated microglia activation in MOGAD
