Geocaching at Beaver Dam

(See the Video!)
Me: “I am looking for a fun community-building outdoor activity for Duke graduate students to kick off the academic year. Do you have any activities out in nature close to campus?”
Frog Hollow: “How about Geocaching on the lake using kayaks at Beaver Dam?”
Me: “What’s Geocaching?”
Frog Hollow: “It’s like a scavenger hunt using GPS units to find items you can only access by water in kayaks and canoes. Teams will work together to solve the clues and find the treasure! Everyone will have a kayak or canoe, safety equipment, coaching and training by experts, and tons of fun on the water at Beaver Dam in the Falls Lake Recreation Park, 30 minutes from campus. Oh, and there is a beach too.”
Me: “Done!”
