The second annual Design Hackathon will take place on Friday, March 22 and Saturday, March 23, 2024 at The Design Pod on Duke University’s West Campus.
The Outreach Design Education (ODE) Program Hackathon at Duke University is an engineering design-centric educational opportunity for middle school students and their teachers. Over two days, students and their teachers will participate in an introductory engineering design activity and use rapid prototyping tools (3-D printing, laser cutting, and Arduino programming) to design and create devices.
We are looking for one middle school to partner with ODE to send 20-24 students and 2-5 teachers to attend the Hackathon.
This program is FREE! Lunch on Friday and snacks throughout the weekend will be provided.
Teachers and principals who are interested in bringing students to the Hackathon should email Happi Adams (happi.adams@duke.edu).
