Tyler McFarland is a Master of Environmental Management Candidate at Duke University’s Nicholas School of the Environment. They are particularly passionate about strengthening coastal communities and ecosystems by creating and influencing just and enduring policies. Tyler has a background in biodiversity and conservation education; nonprofit publicity, management, and administration; and federal data collection and species management. They also serve as President of the Nic Queer Network at the Nicholas School and seek greater advocacy and representation for LGBTQIA+ in environmental and marine policy.
