Prior to attending Duke, Claudia completed a Fulbright Fellowship in Zanzibar, Tanzania where she studied the efficacy of marine protected areas and worked as a public health and environmental advocate at a California nonprofit. As an MEM candidate with a focus on oceans and coasts, she is interested in finding equitable, community-based solutions to environmental problems that optimize social and ecological outcomes.
