Brandon Lauer
Partnership Chair
MPP ’23, Sanford School of Public Policy

Brandon is a 2nd year master’s student focusing his studies on environmental economics and policy. His academic and professional interests lay within the intersection of economic stability and coastal adaptation to climate change. He graduated from Temple University in the fall of 2020 with a BBA in economics, having worked on multiple academic research projects with economic faculty, as well as in the financial services industry. He chose Duke/Sanford to gain a deeper understanding of how low-income, vulnerable populations in the US and abroad can best be supported by public policy in the face of worsening natural disasters, warming temperatures, and rising sea levels.
