House Courses

House courses are half-credit courses designed and taught by undergraduates in the residence halls of Duke. They enhance the intellectual life of the dorms, providing students the opportunity to have learning experiences not otherwise available in the course catalog. The undergraduates who teach these courses have a unique chance to sharpen their teaching and leadership skills.

Three students in Modernism and Madness have created syllabi for the kinds of courses on mental health that they would like to take, but which are not presently offered at Duke. The documents in this area of the site are proposals for innovative educational experiences.
