DMC faculty contributes to new NASEM report on microbiome-chemical interactions & human health risk

DMC faculty Dr. John Rawls recently served on an expert committee of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine (NASEM) to produce a report entitled “Environmental Chemicals, the Human Microbiome, and Health Risk: A Research Strategy.” The committee’s report, sponsored by the EPA and NIEHS, outlined research strategies for determining the influence of the human microbiome on the body’s response to environmental chemicals.
