Yanxi (Krista) Peng

Hey there! Nice to meet you! I am Yanxi Peng, and you can call me Krista if you like.

I am a first year M.S. student in Mechanical Engineering and Material Science Department here at Duke, and I got my B.S. degree from both University of Mississippi (Ole Miss!) and North China University of Technology. I am a member in PerCOMFORT project team during this Capstone Course (ME 555) which is instructed by Prof. George Delagrammatikas, click here to view the website page of my team members Wanrong Xie and Zhiteng Ma. My previous research interest in undergraduate year was mechanical design and thermodynamics, but for now I want to explore more in biological systems and biomedical area. Project Abstract

PerCOMFORT

In this capstone course, we demonstrate an electronics system equipped with electrochemically tunable materials that can automatically adjust the potential of power supply and control the emissivity of materials once it monitors the temperature difference and humidity difference between human body and ambience. The final generation of this multi-functional device has the same small size as a mouse. Clink Here to see how we make it possible!
