My name is Melody Hunter-Pillion. As a student in the Duke Graduate Liberal Studies program, I am taking my fifth and sixth classes this semester. Digital Durham: Documenting the New South allows me to use the traditional journalism research skills of my former news reporting background, along with Special Collections access in Duke’s Perkins Library and new methods of technology, to study and collect information on a particular aspect of Durham, during Post Reconstruction years. I’m looking forward to the semester. History awaits!
