Save the dates for the LENS Speaker series!
We are REALLY excited about our fall LENS Speaker Series! If you are in the area of Duke Law, please join us on the dates indicated from 12:30-1:30 p.m. It’s free, and lunch will be provided (first come, first serve!) Here’s our lineup so far: Ms. Heather Huntley, a Senior Attorney at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s General Counsel Office will speak to us on Oct 21 about the myriad of issues associated with that organization, including quarantines, travel issues, drug matters, and much more. Ms. Amy Hess will discuss her role as the Executive Assistant Director of the FBI’s Criminal, Cyber, Response & Services Branch on Nov 4. (I heard her at the Aspen Security Forum this summer and was really impressed). Prof. Mary-Rose Papandrea from UNC Law will talk on Nov 25 about the “Law of Leaks” (what could be more timely?) Mary-Rose is also a terrific speaker, and one of the nation’s foremost First Amendment scholars. Duke Law’s National Security Law Society is co-sponsoring these events.
Also, be sure to mark your calendar for our 25th Anniversary Conference!
