Nice topic for the article. Maybe a bit more in depth for the next time. Latinos have been an important part of the Durham community for decades. It’d be great to read more stories celebrating the culture. Thanks!
HI! My name is Adriana Ruggiero. I’m a JOurnalist based in Los Angeles. I have worked for the most part of my career in Spanish TV and right now I’m working on my own stories about Latinos in the US to be published on my YouTUbe Channel. I am planning on visiting Durham on Dec 27th, when I’ll be interviewing the 3 Latinos running for the City Council and I’ll like to interview some of you about the Latino community in NC
We are reaching out to you on behalf of EVNoire – Mobility Intelligence Consulting Group, a consulting group in the area of Transportation, Energy & Environmental Health equity.
We are currently scheduling interviews with leaders of community organizations that work with the Hispanic population in North Carolina and would like to include you in this research effort.
All interviews are conducted by Dr. Shelley Francis, co-founder and managing partner of EVNoire and graduate of the University of North Carolina’s School of Public Health, whose work and research focuses on working with multi-racial communities who are often left out of discussions about environmental health, mobility and transportation needs.
The virtual interview would take place the week of Nov. 8-14th at your convenience. All interviews are one hour in length and we are offering an honorarium of $75.
