I am a research scientist at Lozier lab. My research interest lies in understanding the role of ocean in climate variability. My current project utilizes energy balance constrain and stability theory to study mixed layer variability. The scientific question we aim to address is the competing role of wind forcing, buoyancy flux and background stratification in modulating mixed layer depth variation, through which it influences ocean primary productivity, oceanic heat uptake and the global water cycle.
