This is the class website for the Introduction to Audio Documentary class at Duke University, Fall 2019, taught by John Biewen. In the course, each student produces two short audio documentaries. The first is on the theme of the student’s choosing, including the option to respond to a past ShortDoc Challenge from the Third Coast International Audio Festival. Final projects explore race and whiteness, in response to the Scene on Radio series, Seeing White, which the class listened to and discussed during the semester.
