Deadline: November 4, 2016

Bass Connections provides up to $25,000 for a team-based project that engages faculty, undergraduates and graduate/professional students and that integrates disciplinary approaches around societal questions and challenges. The call for new projects is now open. All Duke faculty, graduate students, postdocs and trainees/fellows are invited to submit proposals for a project by November 4, 2016.

In addition, special funding is available for projects that feature historical perspectives, diverse language processes and products, or aesthetic dimensions of reflection.

The Franklin Humanities Institute offers additional support for projects that feature historical perspectives, diverse language processes and products, or aesthetic dimensions of reflection. Applicants from any field are encouraged to develop humanities-related connections, regardless of departmental home. The FHI will facilitate connecting with potential partners to constitute interdisciplinary teams with a humanities dimension.
