Duke Institute for Brain Sciences Opens Karen L. Wrenn Alzheimer’s Disease Travel Award

Applications are now being accepted for two funding opportunities for graduate students working in fields related to the understanding, treatment, and possible cure of Alzheimer’s disease.

The Karen L. Wrenn Alzheimer’s Disease Travel Award for Graduate Students provides up to $2500 each to two graduate students for travel to an Alzheimer’s conference of their choice. The prize is open to Ph.D. students and third-year medical students who are doing research in areas related to Alzheimer’s disease. Deadline is October 15, 2016.

The recipient of the Wrenn Fellowship in Alzheimer’s Disease Research is also eligible for the Karen L. Wrenn Alzheimer’s Disease Travel Award for Graduate Students, but one need not receive the graduate fellowship in order to be eligible for the research prize.

The Wrenn Fellowship in Alzheimer’s Disease Research and the Karen L. Wrenn Alzheimer’s Disease Travel Award for Graduate Students are funded by a gift from the Karen L. Wrenn Trust.
