I&E 590: New Ventures Clinic: Healthcare

In a mixed team of business, phd, and undergraduate students, we were assigned technologies designed by duke inventors. Throughout the course of the semester we built a plan and pitch surrounding the assigned technology and presented every week to professors, lawyers, and venture capitalists experienced in the field. We examined market need, competitive landscape, and pricing strategy amongst other ways of positioning the product. Through this class, I learned a lot about how to work together with people from other disciplines and how to pitch a biotechnology.
