Through my engineering education, I have grown increasingly aware of the importance of art and creative design in engineering solutions that are usable and attractive to consumers. Partly an exercise in challenging my own conceptions of engineering and technology, I have begun to explore the intersections of art, design, and technology.

The following is a 14 ft art sculpture I constructed with another artist that represents the increasing penetration of clean energy technologies in the modern grid via an abstraction of a turbine blade intersecting a sheet of coal.
