Completing the Innovation & Entrepreneurship certificate has influenced and will continue to influence the paths I have chosen at Duke and beyond. Originally selected to supplement my major of Mechanical Engineering, it has grown to be a much larger player in my undergraduate career. While my major provided a wealth of technical knowledge filled with undeniable truths about the physical world, the I&E certificate steered my studies into more subjective fields where there is no clear right or wrong answer. While these gray areas are not my natural comfort zone, I became fascinated by the unique challenges and opportunities that lay in the entrepreneurial world. As I venture beyond the walls of Duke University, I will bring these lessons with me and continue to push the boundaries of my comfort zone in regards to risk and ambiguity.
