William Broderick

WilliamBroderick-portrait (1)William Broderick graduated from Oberlin College in May 2013 with majors in neuroscience and mathematics. As an undergrad, he worked with Prof. Pat Simen on Drift Diffusion Models of Two Alternative Forced Choice perception tasks. In the year after graduation, he worked at South China Normal University in Guangzhou, China as a Luce Scholar, where he did research in the lab of Prof. Suiping Wang, using functional connectivity of fMRI data to investigate the different processes in Mandarin and English bilingual reading, and worked with Prof. Qi Chen on deep learning neural networks that learn to extract numerosity information from images. At Duke, William uses Multi-Variate Pattern Analysis of fMRI data to investigate deceptive and strategic behaviors in social game playing.
