We have received more than 576 photos as part of the Duke Healthy Campus photo contest. I want to thank all those who shared your photos with us and the reasons why your health and wellbeing are important to you.
During the first five weeks of the initiative, we’ll draw one randomly selected entry to win a healthy prize. This week’s prize is an Eno hammock. This week’s winner is: Julia Notar, a Duke graduate student in Biology.
Next week’s prize will be Fitbit. Be sure to submit your photo to enter. All submitted photos will be eligible for the drawing.
Photos submitted for the contest will be featured the week of June 19, along with the announcement of the grand prize winner for a trip for two to the Grove Park Inn & Spa in Asheville, N.C. The grand prize will be chosen based on creativity, originality, and how well the photo reflects the theme of why your health is important to you.

Julie Notar submitted a photo of her glasses “… because my vision is so poor that my contacts and glasses are medically necessary. I love wearing my glasses and contacts so I can be active, play sports, go swimming, and do more basic things like read, drive, and not run into walls.”
