I grew up in Michigan, but I have lived in North Carolina since 1979. I retired eight years ago after a thirty-five-year career in Social Work. My last job (about 8 years) was the Program Manager for Adult Services in Durham County government. This included services such as Adult Protective Services. I am a writer. I have published one novel, a short-story collection, and I have another novel coming out this month, published by Main Street Rag Publishing Company. I have been critiquing manuscripts for the NC Writers’ Network for the past twenty-five years. I am married. I have one daughter (a Duke employee), and a four-year-old grandson. I love to run (though I’m currently injured) and ride my mountain bike, particularly in Duke Forest.

What movie or television show that you watched recently would you recommend to the rest of us? I’m afraid I don’t own a TV, and I don’t watch TV with one exception. I watch a children’s program called Trash Truck (ha ha!) with my four-year-old grandson.
