My name is Vanessa de Jesus. I am from Los Angeles, California. Growing up, I loved playing sports, but basketball was the one that stuck with me! I have been playing basketball since my first team in kindergarten to playing here at Duke! I came to Duke in 2020 for my undergrad and graduated last fall with my bachelor’s in biology while minoring in psychology. I decided to stay at Duke and join the GLS Program, while also continuing to represent the Duke Women’s Basketball team with the NCAA eligibility I have left. Besides basketball, I enjoy playing the piano and am a big foodie who loves checking out local restaurants in the area!
