Caroline Catterton

Hi! I’m Caroline and I just graduated from the University of Florida in May of 2024 with my bachelors in English and a minor in film and media studies. I grew up in the DC area, but my family now lives in Jacksonville, Florida. I played a lot of sports growing up, primarily basketball, and I played for two years in my undergrad before transferring to UF. I love the competitive edge of playing sports, but I also love watching sports. I’ve always been a Duke basketball fan, so I’m beyond excited to experience that as a student. A fun fact is about me is after one (1) glass of wine I become a singer in any situation. I’m semi-joking. But genuinely I sang all through my life, college and I’m on my church’s worship team. Academically, I’ve always had an interest in English. I love comparative studies, looking at the relationship between text and film and reading subtext through film technique. I would say my favorite book right now is “A Secret History” by Donna Tartt and my favorite movie is RRR, but ask me tomorrow and it’ll probably be different. Right now, I’m becoming a spin-girlie, I go to Cyclebar in Chapel Hill and I love it so much. If you ever want to go I am so down to be your buddy, just let me know!
