Hello, my name is Héctor Aizpurúa and I am from Winston-Salem, North Carolina. I recently graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with a bachelor’s in music. I teach group and private piano lessons around the Chapel Hill and Durham area. My passion for teaching has led me to realize that the more I know about music and the world around me the more I can teach my students. The majority of my free time is spent reading, practicing new music, and exploring new topics, whether that is in history, cooking, or exercise science. The GLS program is an amazing opportunity to continue my education at the highest level while also allowing me the flexibility to continue teaching and learning about various topics. I hope to pursue a joint degree in history and law upon graduation.
